Anyone, who travels through Iceland will soon discover places of truly amazing beauty that have designed themselves into natural stages, as they could never ever be more impressive. Where, according to Iceland’s legend, giants once lived, the enormous skogarfoss waterfall thunders its way into the valley with raving showers and gurgles over the meadow lined mountain. A liquid curtain, gigantic, formidable - a scene full of primal power. We can hardly hear our own words. The skógá Waterfall plunges 62 m straight down - a height which cannot be ignored. Mist and fog and a brilliant rainbow presented special challenges for us to overcome. The car was getting wet and the first sample shots the colour was tacky. According to legend, the settler Þrasi Þórólfsson hid a treasure chest behind the waterfall. We didn‘t look for it - legends live on faith alone.
