BUrnInG LAVA, FJALLSÁRJÖKULL
The bowels of the earth break out of its track. Glowing, red hot lava draws its tracks onto the landscape. A flaming painting, primal, immense and destructive and yet still an archetypical aesthetic. Life, heat and destructive force all at the same time - overwhelming forces but still flamable – fire forms the foundation of the Islandic traditions just like the saga, giants and the realm’s elves and fairies. The former settlers marked this favored land with as many fires as they could set in a day. In the 21st century we have different resources at our disposal; Thanks to our pyrotechnic Eddie from Reykjavik, we put our favorite location on stage with fire and emotions. And nature does the rest for us. An image full of passion emerges.
